I remember reading in style guides long ago that dark pants should be worn with dark shoes but lately I've seen lots of guys using brown shoes instead. I wonder when doing so became a thing?
I have no idea! Haha. I have a pair of brown leather shoes, so I use them. I see lots of people who do the same.
