Something about ballpoints

AFTER YOUTH FELLOWSHIP this afternoon I decided to get a new cheap pen, another Parker Jotter ballpoint, to replace the one I had lost at the Delivery Room toilet last March. That pen, which had lasted me two refills, jumped out of my scrub suit when I took a leak.

"Why didn't you just take it out of the bowl?" my friends insisted.

I said I that while I loved that writing instrument, my affection for it had limits. I could have used sterile gloves or some strong antiseptic, of course, but maybe I was too shocked to see my pen stuck at the bottom of water containing my very own urine.

I got the one with the dots on it, as opposed to my friends' monochromatically designed Jotters that look business-like. I had it engraved for free, too.

I expect that my pens, this pen included, to last me a lifetime—an expectation that has never been met, my clumsiness being the culprit.

Compared to other Parker models it is cheap. Got mine at a discount. Kung ayaw mo ng Pilot maganda rin daw mga Faber Castell—a little more than P10 lang ata sa National, tapos mukhang sign pen ang tinta.
