Was it an island?
WENT out of town today. Island Cove in Cavite—heard of that before? The weather was perfect for an outing: sunny with no possibility of rain.
These pillars remind me of a scene in Game of Thrones. [A little side note: If not for Daenerys and her dragons, I'd have ditched the series away. I don't plan to read the book (makes me sleepy), but I find the story compelling. My heroes die unexpectedly. If you were to ask me which characters I want to die next, here they are, in the order I want them to disappear: Tyrion Lannister (he's become one of the story's heroes—George RR Martin should strike him down at once), Rob Stark, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Sansa/Bran/Rickon Stark. I'm particularly fond of Lord Varys and Tywin Lannister.]
I like the windows.
The place was quiet and subdued, just the way I wanted.
Afternoon snacks with Manong Ralph at the hotel café. I ordered cookies and cream frappe.
Butterflies on display. Vladimir Nabokov would've been thrilled to see this.
Was on my way to say hello to the tiger when this colorful, shy creature blocked my path.
The view overlooking Manila. So near yet so far.
After less than an hour I had snacks again. Brewed decaf with apple a la mode, which tasted like swimming pool water.
Got to play table tennis, too, the only sport I can do well in. Overall, a grand time. Praise God!
