Cry out to Jesus

I used to sing on-stage when I was little. My voice was like a girl's, my range perhaps higher than Charice Pempenko's Pempenco's. No kidding.

In grade school, I was requested to do an intermission number for every single school program—and I sang the same songs because I didn't want to memorize new ones. But the audience, mostly my teachers, were always thrilled to hear me. I remember an incident when Lawrence Salvatierra, my classmate in grade school, burst in tears when I sang. Those were the days when I would use a multiplex tapes as my accompaniment.

It's been a while since I had last done that. Last night, however, I had the privilege of singing on-stage again—this time with a live band, with wonderful friends from UP Agape Christian Fellowship, one of the orgs I'm actively affiliated with in Medicine. We performed "Cry Out to Jesus" by Third Day. We weren't extraordinarily good, but we did our best. We thank God, above all, for the opportunity of encouraging people to come to the Lord, even in the darkest and lowest times of their lives.

Myself, with Jeffrey Lappay and Miguel Barnes (guitar).

This is the song and the lyrics. I hope it will encourage you, inasmuch as it has been an encouragement to us.

Sorry for giving false hopes, KB. Besides my voice isn't half as good as the original. Kakantahan na lang kita ng live.
