Investing in memories
After his morning coffee, Lolo would take us to this small park. We'd play with the swings and see-saws, and he'd stand nearby, warning us to be careful. Just before we'd go home, our feet would be soaked in morning dew. This was more than 15 years ago.
When I went there yesterday, I dropped by the Pyramid with my cousins and their kids. Other than us, there were others playing around, relishing what remained of their summer break. It's comforting to know that a younger generation is investing memories here, like my late grandfather and my brothers used to do.
